‘Silence’

Silence
Is surrounding
And I am outside myself.
Beyond this room,
Rain patters.
Cars go by.
Leafs are ruffled
By wind in trees.
The sun hides
Light reflecting from
The moon.
She and the stars
Light the way.
Together;
They are more than us
But lesser too
And I find myself
Reduced
To my own still form.
A single yawn
And the memory fades.
I know it will be gone
Forever soon
But that is just.
I am not worthy
Of the feeling
Of stardust.
